server 2003 64 bit OS
hello,
based on research, there many reasons might cause network performance issue.
in order better understanding of current environment, i’d ask several questions before going further.
1. are 2 windows server 2003 machines located in same network?
2. is there routing/nat devices in front of windows servers?
3. how did verify network performance? (for example via download speed, web access speed , on.)
4. have installed third party anti-virus software on windows server 2003 machines?
the following steps have try first:
1. check whether have installed correct , latest driver of network adapt on 64-bit os window server 2003.
2. perform clean boot , check whether situation improve.
to perform clean boot, please follows:
on problematic server perform clean boot , check if issue still exists
2.1. click start->run...->type msconfig , press enter
2.2. click services tab , select hide microsoft services , disable third party services.
2.3. click startup tab , disable startup items
2.4. click ok , choose restart
2.5. after reboot, check whether problem still occurs
please answer above questions , let me know test result.
thanks.
