surprisingly, none of related topics situation is, nor did suggestions translate issue. i have hp server dual nics running windows server 2008 r2 std , hypervisor role. #1 nic assigned host, , ip 192.168.0.252/24, dgw of 192.168.0.1. can ping host on network , aid of remote management software accessible internet. runs flawlessly. the 1 , guest running windows 2011 sbs assorted roles. assigned exclusively #2 nic, , ip 192.168.0.7/24 dwg of 192.168.0.1. can ping itself, nothing else. doesnt see router (an asa) or else on network. no amount of tearing down , rebuilding network connection has helped.  ive turned off various offloading functions described in other articles, , tried assigning other ip addresses in same subnet, nothing helps. sorry delays. lot of great suggestions. there no vlaning or mac filtering going on. ultimately, (i think) ended being corruption in original vswitch / nic configuration resisted efforts cleaned start again. fortunately, had point me tool

all, we have set following path "set profile path users logging onto computer" to: \\servername\sharename\%username%.%userdomain% (computer config\policies\windows settings\administrative templates\system\user profiles) the computer account object in nau-students. users can logon 2 domains nau-students or nau. all users profile saved to: \\servername\sharename\\%username%.nau-students , regardless of there originating domain. the problem have users same user name in both domains: eg nau\plg9 & nau-students\plg9. whoever logs on first roaming profile created, second user profile service error , cannot logon. if skip .%userdomain% in path same problem - profile created first user \\servername\sharename\\%username% (no mention of domain in path), user same username second domain cannot log on. anyone know why doesn't work? is design or bug? no guesses please - msft answer helpful. i have thought should correctly honor environment variable? this 2008 native domains , win

we having issue kyocera driver.  we started getting new models of of these kyocera copiers, , newer version of same driver.  the new copiers different.  the driver version went 5.x 6.x  we discovered 2 don't work on same print server.  some departments of sudden can't print.  the error "can't connect printer".  as if there no driver. on print server updated driver our printer here in department.  i didn't update existing printer (properties>advanced tab>new driver), instead deleted printer, recreated it, , used new driver when recreated it.  that worked here in dept.  it not work in other departments.  a day later still have old driver.  rebooting nothing.  i got new driver within 3 minutes of updating on server. seems rights issue.  i give them "manage printer" rights.  still don't download new driver.  but... can of sudden print - old driver!  makes no sense. under normal circumstances, shouldn't new driver whenever update o

hi, i have hyperv-1 host running on windows 2008. 2 virtual machines on it.  one of virtual machines has 3 vhds allocated it. fixed size. on own virtual partition. , each 900mb left on virtual partition , 1 400mb left.  this has not been problem (as far can tell) years. however, yesterday moved virtual machine (not one) file , reconfigured of virtual partition space (not disk above vhds are) , point hyper-v began issuing error 16050: running low on disk space on drive h. error is occurring once per minute.   my question is: 1) first how free space there need be? vhd file 36gb in fixed size, 900 mb left on partition residing on. 2) why sudden error when no changes had been made vm? (though made vm - not share partition space vhds). thought may hyper-v host glitch, rebooted host machine, no change.  is else causing error? new not sure should for. it odd issuing error 1 vhd , not three, vhd's attached vm have same amount (or less 1 of them 400mb) of free space part

hi, i working on hyper-v virtualization implementation desire have servers on 2 different vlans, 1 existing on dmz , 1 on internal network.  using dell poweredge 2950 server broacom ii gigabit nics. individual nics hooked dell powerconnect 5424 switch vlan tagging. have sonicwall 2400 firewall on switch manage traffic between internal , dmz vlans. if set individual network cards support vlan tagging, , assign hyper-v virtual network switch eachm assign servers each switch, desired result. however, if use broadcom access control suite team cards fault tolerance, , give tagged vlan id, hyper-v manager complains basp virtual adapter physically not support vlans. can, however, set individual cards on teams  utilize vlans , create basp virtual adapter in bacs untagged, allow me create vlan id, not seem carry traffic. anyone have luck getting vlans working on teamed broadcom cards on dell systems? think not supported config, thought people have got working. thanks! dan hi, yes, you’re corr

i can't believe difficult.  find lots of tricks install 32bit printer drivers on existing printer 64bit drivers, on 64bit server. but i'm trying install printer first time on 64bit 2008 server.  won't let me add 32bit drivers. and suggestions? i struggling last week. me, far quickest solution use global drivers provided xerox. go drivers page , download 64-bit pcl , ps global drivers, download 32-bit versions. downloads include drivers plus correct ntprint.inf everyone's looking for. no digging around cab files, winsxs, no looking installation media, no playing pnputil, no need go printer management console, etc. works. you install 64-bit version, install 32-bit version, , point x86 ntprint.inf included download. , once sees ntprint.inf (for xerox driver you'll find in "ntprint.inf_x86" folder, additional 32-bit driver installs snap. can download universal hp driver afterward if necessary, although i've found xerox global ps , pcl drivers s

i have 2 groups in powershell script. 1 has series of combo boxes select options from, , second displays combined result selected combo boxes. trying use $combobox1.add_click detect when update second group, update not happening when select item, updating when click item (prior selection). when review class system.windows.forms.combobox, don't see add_click, guessing add_click alias event click? what should using instead of add_click? am right add_click same click? if events not should looking for, how can list of options similar add_click? trying install exchange 2007 on virtualised windows enterprise 2008 sp1 server. 64 bit, has 4 gb ram , virtualised on hyper-v rc1. i trying run initial active directory preperation scripts: setup /pl error "exchange 2007 cannot used version of windows operating system running on computer." i same message when use exchange server 2007 setup program when performs it's readiness checks. i have followed server pre-req instructions on technet exchange server techcentre. can't understand why message appear - have clues.....? thanks  i'd suggest checking exchange team. 1 thing keep in mind running exchange on hyper-v isn't supported (due hyper-v not being rtm). this posting provided "as is" no warranties, , confers no rights.
