hi, my domain namespace disjoint.   abcd.local internal , bcde.com external. have 2 isa server in domain.  1 used user browsing , other used publishing, sharepoint, exchange etc. issue is, when user browse sharepoint goes out through isa1(browsing isa) , access sharepoint published on isa2(publishing isa).  this causing delays.  how can enable users directly connect internally sharepoint instead of going out internet on isa1 , connect sharepoint published on isa2.  i running sharepoint services 3.  my external sharepoint fqdn sharepoint.lb.bcde.com , internal int-sharepoint.abcd.local . any appreciated.| regards phil hi liby, which url internal users trying access? sharepoint or int-sharepoint? if using sharepoint directly connected external name space.  to avoid can create cname record sharepoint site point int-sharepoint on internal dns server client machines pointing . regards, rafic if found post helpful, please give "helpful" vote. if

hi all i wondering if 1 has suggestions on problem please? printer: hp clj 2550n server: windows server 2003 sbs sp2 i can print printer via ip direct mac out issue. on server though printer shared users reports 'offline'. isn't can print directly. no other printers shared on server have issue , work fine. if restart 'print spooler' service can print 1 job set offline again. can access web interface server of printer out issue unfortunately it's jet direct type web interface, not web interface interact printer self (even though built in jetdirect!). - have downloaded latest driver off hp website , installed it. have tried generic 'hp colour laserjet' driver on server. same occurs. - restarted server asking after monthly windows update run anyway. - changed network cable, in case! - printed off config/status pages off printer. no errors shown. any suggestions welcome please :) ok, going answer myself! searched before made error of

hi i have small business server 2003 install went though partial upgrade crashed. on reboot, setup not continue because of 0xc00002e1 error on ad database. error says need boot directory services restore mode fix database, fine, can't because hare half way through upgrade. so, can no longer continue setup/upgrade, , can't boot directory service restore mode pressing f8 boot menu. we rebuild server, recreate user , re-attach exchange db, able server if on extract configuration change made on exchange server smtp settings. so - can boot directory services restore mode, or use directory service restore tools without going though boot main paint os boot partition? any appreciated chris hello, the dsrm restore mode accesible drive , not winpe disk or bartpe mounts harddisk , can copy data it. be aware exchange requires correct username/password combination original domain , not sure if able access exchange database when copied new created domain, if smae

i recently performed clean install of win2008 x32 , have been trying several days windows backup program work on system drive c: (hardware raid 5 - intel embedded server raid ii on s5000pslsas 3- 146gb 15k drives. updated drivers/bios intel before install). i have removable sata drive (500gb) windows backup program cleared backups. later assigned drive x: see being placed on drive (e.g. x:\windowsimagebackup\apicella\backup 2008-08-18 015309). these things work using backup once option: 1) backing 100gb ide drive b: - no errors. data appears on x: 2) backup 100gb separate raid array d: (i have 2 separate raid arrays on machine) - no errors. data appears on x: 3) problem: everytime chose backup c: error message: backup started @ '8/18/2008 1:55:08 am' failed volume shadow copy operation failed backup volumes following error code '2155348129'. please rerun backup once issue resolved. event viewer: - system   - provider    [ name]  microsoft-windows-backup    [ guid]  {1db

hi, have problem users mapping drives between 2 domains. can take on minute complete :( they map drive using ip address , user account in destination domain. there no trust between domains. dcdiag on destination domain looks ok, no errors. when create local user on destination file server , map drive local user, map within 5seconds. i cannot use local accounts 1 of shares on domain controller :(   no bad events in security event log, event 680 followed 540.   anyone idea on how go troubleshooting this!? this has been resolved....   the server had 2 network cards, 1 used backups. network card had file , print , client ms networks enabled on it. when disabled traffic started routing on correct interface.   hope helps else out! forum members, so have question regarding installation of print driver updates networked printers residing on print server users connected in via rdp remote desktop session host servers.  all servers running windows 2008 r2 , user clients mix of xp , win 7 running latest version of rdp os. the situation user can add printer rd session fine.  we use roaming profiles have 6 rd session host servers in farm.  however, if user connects rd session host server , printer in roaming profile requires driver update on server, cannot perform update; don't notified of update.  basically when go print normal printer (the networked printer on print server), doesn't print. not until admin goes rd session host server , updates driver user's print job go through.  the problem having each , every user if print driver updated tedious.  apparently, sys admins before me have tried fixing making domain users part of "print operators" security group on each rd session host

hi all.  have basic 2008 r2 ent. server set hyper-v host.  don't believe issue hyper-v related setup there 1 vm running, 2008r2.  non-domain environment, 7 (seven) users.  server new, , until last week, running fine.  now, painfully slow.  first thought networking slow (50kb/sec...), realized core system terrible too.  as way test, downloaded self-extracting symantec endpoint protection install exe, 1.9gb.  running launchs little 7z self-extractor shows data rate of extraction, m achine 550kb/sec.  should ead 10's of mb/sec @ minimum.  i have spent couple of days trying things, looking @ resource monitor, , nothing in there gives hint system overburdened.  disk io sub 100kb/sec on average, total memory 32gb , @ given time 18gb free vm running, more without it.  i considering how test outside of windows environment next step.  there way boot os disc dvd , use windows, copy files hard disks etc.?  or on track, suggestions on can within windows figure out?  than

i have 2008 r2 server rodc set @ remote site. it's in it's own ad site , subnet. one of programmers decided change network settings reason i'm still not clear about. he thinks changed subnet mask, , set default gateway #.#.#.255 address. network settings screwed up. because of this, believe dns and ad services not start on server. can't ping different subnet, if remote desktop pc on same subnet can ping , start "remote" remote desktop server, can't log in domain admin account in allowed rodc replication group. error "there no logon servers available service logon request". unfortunately, due nature of network problem, googling error message has far not let me find solution. every 2008 server dvd have gives me error "this version of system recovery options not compatible version of windows trying repair" including 1 used build server. does have suggestions on how can fix without wiping , rebuilding server? thanks follow u

i have upgraded system running server 2008 r2 server 2012 standard gui. the hyper-v roll installed. the issue is, system running @ 99% cpu time @ host.  system ran fine under server 2008 2012 slow.  hyper-v management console taking 25% cpu, desktop windows manager taking 22%... this seems odd system running server 2008 r2 same roles , in fact more.. system specs: supermicro x7dbn 2 x xeon 5140 lsa 8888elp raid 32gb ddr2 fbdimm ram any appreciated going hyper-v migration , not going in test! thanks! how many cores being used? sebastian sajaroff senior dba pharmacies jean coutu Windows Server  >  Windows Server 2012 General

hi,            have structure have 1 win2k3 server runs dc ,dns,dhcp,but dhcp server has 45 scopes created super scope. and our network structure this  1 core switch created 45 vlans , have given ip helper address of our dhcp server users mobile users connect network through wireless have 45 blocks each block enabled access points. but thing once user ip in 1 particular block work fine block,if user moves other block ip dont renew or release ,then have manually delete old ip dhcp server takes new ip on basis of vlan. thanks&regards sudhi hi there, "dhcp server has 45 scopes created super scope." the concept of super scope pretty different , did not understand above statement , dhcp server can have as  many scopes doesnt mean should create super scope. secondly how many relay servers have configured ? sainath windows driver development Windows Server
