we are running 3 virtual servers on 1 host. sbs 2008,  server 2008 , server 2000. server 2000 taking long time boot tried adding legacy network adaptor. received , error when tried apply settings cancelled operation. when tried restart vm got anther error saying vm file did not exist. not edit vm anymore. after rebooted host, server 2000 virtual machine not longer listed in hyper v (the file still existed on disk). other 2 vm's ok.  i recreated vm using same vhd , repeated process same result, twice. idea going on?  can connect original vm? how avoid in future? hi,   if vm disappeared hyper-v manager console, can perform suggestions in following post back.   vm not appearing in hyper-v manager http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/winserverhyperv/thread/135d1385-4b75-4737-80de-f8c517c25f8d   the vm disappeared hyper-v manager console cause antivirus software, confirm whether have antivirus software on hyper-v host machine. if have antivirus software installed on
