hi all today i've noted following when collection renamed through rds server manager: the icon folder store on collection broker servers (ha) c:\windows\remotepackages\cpubfarms\<collectionname> doesn't change original name. the collection name registry keys living [hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\terminal server\centralpublishedresources\publishedfarms\<collectionname> remain original collection name. reboots not force synchronisation. if either registry key or folders mentioned above renamed manually, within approx 10 minutes rds renames them (or creates fresh copies) using collection name used upon collection creation - not using new name! 1.  is there way synchronise these? 2.  can powershell used rename session collection?  i spotted cmdlet: set-rdsessioncollectionconfiguration there appears no way of entering both old , new collection names should wish rename collection, implies properties can modified, not name.

hello, couple days ago problem appeared out of on 1 of terminal servers. "kernel mode printer blocking policy enabled" error showing in event viewer. i've tried allowing kernel mode printers via group policy, , while allows problem printers installed, jobs sent printers hang in queue. i've checked versions of drivers printers , they're version 3, not version 2. so, drivers in question aren't kernel mode drivers! i haven't installed updates or made changes recently- problem did appear out of blue. i've got terminal server configured same 1 having problem, , 1 works fine. i've googled , googled haven't found answers. have ideas? i'm going reboot problem server tomorrow after hours see if fixes anything. hello this looks printer driver issue unrelated terminal server , polling on microsoft printing web forum yield better / quicker response. thank you! hi, had working on user configuration fine when apply computer configuation on gpo, drives says disconnected network drive red cross. can still access drives how solve issue. i tried enabling following but stil no luck. hi all, i've been working through/struggling oscp setup enable rds our external users. think i'm on home stretch have 1 last hurdle in way, help! my setup below … root ca   -- subordinate (intermediate) ca         -- rds cert i’ve been having issues when connecting rds externally error “checking the revocation list” after various certutil –url tests found rds cert unsuccessfully externally non-domain joined stations. sniffed traffic , server responding “responsestatus: unauthorized (6)” i tested sub cert successful. i tested root ca returned no url, weird because see oscp url in ca certificate. i check against domain join stations , non join stations (this solution home users) , found domain joined stations worked externally/internall non domain joined stations didn’t externally, or more point when ldap traffic blocked. after various web searches , reading rfc 2560 wondered if non domain joined stations use oscp or if making more 1 request … after li

hi, we have customer server windows 2012. installed rds session host server role , configured use rd licensing server per https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2833839?wa=wsignin1.0 after configuring, when open rd license diagonser tool, says, rd license server not available. shows, credential not available. when enter credential clicking, provide credentials, not applied. see no event logs related rd service. however, see below event log points rd licensing server. dcom unable communicate computer <rd license server> using of configured protocols; requested pid     273c (c:\windows\system32\mmc.exe). please in fixing issue. thanks, umesh hi, just clear, rdsh uses dynamic ports above 1024 communicate rd licensing server.by allowing of these ports in our firewall helped resolving issue. our rd session host servers able communicate , licenses licensing server. hope, helps others face similar situation. thanks, umesh.s.k
