i apologize if in wrong subforum. my situation is, have server 2k8 r2 (15 cals) running, , 10 workstations (win7 pro) connect it, in domain. (i use joe example user). 2 of profiles work, (roaming). remaining not roam @ all. i walked server, opened ad, created new user, called them joe, created pw, no reset, never expires. set user profile \\server\profiles\%username% when log work station, creates  c:\profiles\joe.v2 on server. i log out of work station, reboot, log in make desktop change, create folders, drop text file, etc. , log out. i go work station on network, , log in joe, , not pull profile, none of changes made appear save. if log onto first work station, of changes there.   permissions on server c:\profiles\ set full control, , includes child objects. i need create 10 user accounts, have administrator access (ability install software). need them roaming. it should pretty straight forward, bending brain. thanks help. hello, at moment sounds me the

hi folks, we have long standing dns issues @ office cure, possibly using isa server out. here our situation. our internal network contains single homed isa 2k4 server has firewall chaining upstream box provided externally. our internal network sits before mpls connection offsite location. our offsite location contains our 3 homed hardware firewall , our dmz in 3 leg perimeter config. our internal dns servers contain root zone no clients including isa server can resolve internet names. have no dns server in company can resolve external host names. every web request handled via proxy , resolution names provided our external providers upstream firewall. my problem nothing can resolve internet names. @ all. because our smtp smart hosts email provider well, have put in ip addresses exchange server config, rather dns name of cluster. examples ongoing, use bloomberg requires dns resolution work correctly on client workstation , @ present stuck on adsl line instead. not hugely professional wor

hi we set new domain windows server 2008 rc2 dc. looking integration of dhcp ad. we add computer ad , manage assigned ips windows server included dhcp within the active directory browser.  is there kind of snap-in ad objects computers domain automatically loads mac address of domain member , need assign ip address gets added reservations of dhcp server? with regards christian you can open dhcp mmc console, see if active leases , convert them reservation. in mmc snap-in called "dhcp".
