Extending boot partition for a Hyper-V VM disk

i have windows 2003 server vm has 2 disk partitions (c: , e:) under single virtual hard disk .  drive c: has run out of space , need extend partition c:.  i understand hyper-v allows expanding entire virtual hard disk, need expand partition within virtual hard disk, not entire virtual hard disk.  aware of diskpart runs on windows 2003, requires partition c: expanded, there needs free space continuous available to volume c: there not.  following partition e: have plenty of room, it's @ other end of disk diskpart won't use it.  suggestions easiest, reliable way accomplish task.
