i using microsoft word 2010, need restrict editing on  sections  ms word document users except particular ad group. possible put exceptions of particular group. the require have contract document terms , conditions section can edited group, other sections of document should editable everyone. the options not allow me enter active directory group, see did below, if put ad group domain\groupname still same error. we can't add ad or local user group restrict editing.  may add them 1 one. kr Microsoft Office  >  Word IT Pro Discussions

i'm not having problem, curious going on situation. i have 4 servers (win server 2008 r2 sp1) 2 nics.  servers in 2 oracle rac clusters, not windows clusters.  i've noticed is, if ipconfig /all @ command line, shows 2 ipv4 addresses 1 nic, , 1 ipv4 second nic.  far, good. however, if pull nic properties in gui, , @ ipv4 settings (in advanced section,) shows 1 ip. i'm curious why is.  i'm presuming whoever set these servers (said person gone when started, , left no documentation...) set 2nd ip using netsh likely.  still expect both ips show in gui. thanks, jason a. jason a. i m nt sure 1 possibility tht ip cluster ip oracle rac cluster Windows Server  >  Windows Server General Forum

i have several group policies created in lab environment, exported , imported production environment using migration table.  both environments comprised of windows 2008 r2 servers.  1 of policies setting windows update settings domain.  if try go in , edit windows update settings in policy gives me error says: "unhandles exception has occurred in component in application.  if click continue, application ignore error , attempt continue. access denied. (exception hresult: 0x80070005 (e_accessdenied))" if click continue setting trying make go ahead , take effect.  not seeing error in other imported gpos try edit. i figured out problem was.  when importing cd-rom or isos, file copy part of import mark of files copied sysvol read-only.  added code script using import removes read-only attribute of files after import , fixed problem. i have new system boot drive , 2 drives want use data. on 2 drives setup mirrored volume , spanned volume. wanted test robustness of ldm in windows (better when there's actual data want safe).  i pulled 1 of disks , rebooted (simulating cable failure). mirrored volume came "failed redundancy", spanned volume came failed, , "missing" disk shown, expected.  shut down, reattach second drive. disk2 called "foreign" , "missing" drive still shown. missing drive foreign drive! "reactivate volume" fails "the plex missing" message. same error "reactivate disk" on missing disk. i can map printers on our company network fine windows 7 clients, windows 10 clients struggle resolve print server name when trying map printers. when using ip address of printer server works fine. im trying cluster storage/ha on 3 server have 4x600gbsas drives in raid 10 giving me 1.1 or tb  dont need more 1.1 tb need ha if 1 dies or w/e. i seam having difficulites storage concept. i moved away citrix/iscsi solution because my network cant handle type of setup... i have more 3 servers, , meanwhile have hyper-v running plenty of vm's on other machines. not clustered. want have 1.1 on each box redundancy data/vm storage. kind of raid of servers, per say. i have 2 of 3 clustered , seam waiting on storage thing move forward. please point me in right direction. -whats differance between clustering , replicating? want instead? -nic teaming takes 2 nic's plus 1 more nic management = 3 nic's? -hyper-v cant transfer cluster name, node-server nams, if put fqdn of cluster. -c:\clusterstorage says access denied? -hyper-v wont move vm node machines either, gives error hardware requirements. machie identical source server. i cannot install iis using windows components add/remove. every time installation begins, after gets completing configuration of .net 2.0, stops ask files needed on windows server 2003 disk 2----the file needed install.exe. install disk 1 , not on one. neither on disk 2. cannot finish install , never iis installed. show .net 2.0, sp2, .net 3.0 sp2, .net 3.5 sp1 installed. missing? standalone server sitting in own workgroup no other pc boxes on network.  having problem permissions or security? have turned off ms firewall , anti-virus software no luck. @ point stumped. trying install mail server program called mailsite not want install exchange on box. hi,   the files required install iis component should located in folder i386 of disk1. may open d drive check if files exist. meanwhile, please let me know error message when installation fails.   thanks. hello everyone, installed , configured ad ds, ad cs , ad fs windows server 2012 r2. after installed these, try join workplace server windows 8.1. windows device request enterpriseregistration.domainname.com , enrolmentserver/contract?api-version=1.0 , reponse code of these request 200. when device requests enrolmentserver/contract?api-version=1.0, return endpoint of deviceregistrationservice, authenticationservice, identityproviderservice json. after completed step operation can not occur , gives error: "can't connect service".
