Power Scheme Preferences for Computer Configuration
gpo computer configuration/preferences/control panel settings/power options, says "replace" power schemes called "daytime power scheme" , "nighttime power scheme." these power schemes not not getting created on clients. the gpo getting applied correctly no userenv errors. (other computer preferences in same policy getting applied.) gp results wizard summary shows no errors, policy events show no errors, in settings tab says following under power options:
an error has occurred while collecting data power options.the following errors encountered: unknown error occurred while data gathered extension. details: invalid class
this policy object has computer settings. test gpo play around power schemes on xp clients *which have client side extensions installed, again other computer preferences getting applied. scheduled tasks getting created. power schemes not. although gp results wizard shows same " invalid class" error power schemes, though scheduled tasks being created.
means, if deploy power scheme via computer configuration, system account target user.
shoulf find registry definition in 1 of subkeys here:
hkey_users\s-1-5-19\control panel\powercfg\powerpolicies
if not, there error requires furter analysis.
anyway other users won't see scheme.
try deploying via user configuration.
