restored Active Directory server, mild problems

today first day after convention out of state. getting looking @ status of restored dc. have come realization when reloaded scratch, used 2008 sp2 dvd. before reloaded running sp1 other dc have. appear did systemstate restore of sp1 on sp2 machine.  pretty unrepairable now?  it's worth, directory services , dns running fine, replication happens , nothing out of ordinary coming in event viewer except ie8 problems , user profiles cannot created.

would best demote restored dc, reload again sp2 dvd, , promote happy way? or there kind of schema incompatibility sp2 (not r2) should aware of?

there no schema changes between windows server 2008 sp1 , sp2 - however, i'd recommend demoting dc, reinstalling os, , re-promoting again...

server manager error: ADAM.events.xml could not be enumerated.
