hi, new forum , new windows server environment.

remote desktop
have installed windows server datacenter 2012 r2 on our new server. can connect remote desktop 2 computers @ same time. more asks kick 1 of connected computers in order connect new one.

how can computers (almost 10 now) have access remote desktop simultaneously? if related cals, how can please? need step step guide if possible...

microsoft office
our older server access remote desktop , open files on server microsoft office, such excel sheets.

do need have special edition of office installed in order work users, again, simultaneously? or can microsoft office pro (2010) installed on server standard license , work?

you need install rds role , purchase rds cals use remote desktop in more 2 90 or 180 trial if install before need register license server. need 1 license server per enterprise if have more 1 rds server

there a rds key office should see when @ licensing page microsoft products it's included pro editions of office. can talk microsoft license specialist clearer answers on keys , license policies.

Cannot access Anywhere Access using domain name?

after installing anywhere access in windows server 2012 essentials r2, cannot use anywhere access using setup domain name in wizard such remote.mydomain.com? if enter public ip address, example, 72.2.34.5 works. before set anywhere access, created a record pointing public address...pinged , worked...so not sure doing wrong?  is wizard supposed create record etc , make remote.mydomain.com work? if enter public ip address while on lan, takes me router webpage.  shouldn't work on lan if accessed via public ip? thank you, tim. the wizard can configure remote.microsoft_names.com  remote.remotewebaccess.com but cannot configure domains purchased outside wizard.  depends on how domain configured if wildcard.yourdomain.com should work  if try ping remote.your_domain.com afar , not give proper  public ip, need add record mariette said. much have record domain.com www.domain.com , if have website somewhere else www.domain.com , need remote.domain.com go box gr
