Server reboots overnight due to WSUS updates being installed
hi all
i'm asking here after suggested windows server 2012 forum may not appropriate.
have windows 2012 server thats hosting number of vm's. update policies set via gpo corporate , on face of ok. particular server though has restarted on few occasions of own accord, typically overnight. whilst server not in use staff backups running @ time fail, hardly ideal!
looking through event viewer can see this:-
event id: 1074, source: user32
process c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe (ukharhs101) has initiated restart of computer ukharhs101 on behalf of user nt authority\system following reason: operating system: recovery (planned)
reason code: 0x80020002
shutdown type: restart
