Hiding folders on the network that users cannot access


is possible hide folders on network users not have access to.

like mrx , darshana said, $ share 1 way. dindn't give essential information os running shares on? if minimum windows server 2003 sp1 os have abe (accessed based enumeration) option. according microsoft:

"access-based enumeration new feature included windows server 2003 service pack 1. feature allows users of windows server 2003–based file servers list files , folders have access when browsing content on file server. eliminates user confusion can caused when users connect file server , encounter large number of files , folders cannot access."
