Server 2008R2 SP1 install failed - 0x8004402F

hello!


i tied install sp1 on windows server 2008, failed 0x8004402f. if right error stand creating temporary file. checked, no are  permission error , in reg files, path correct. , 12gb free space should enough sp1.

the log full of event 23 , 27.

23    the event logging service encountered error (res=%1) while initializing logging resources channel %2.

27    the event logging service encountered error (res=%1) while opening log file channel %2. trying again using default log file path %3.

the eventlogs created default log file path. , can't see how can cause failed install.

any idea why intall failed? or how can fix problem?

0x8004402f seems file extraction me. have made changes system environment variables?

 


may try extract sp1 manually , install.


windows6.1-kb976932-x64.exe in root directory of c:\, run command windows6.1-kb976932-x64.exe –x c:\sp1. extract package folder sp1. shall find setup.exe or install.exe executable in folder, install sp1 there.

Cannot access Anywhere Access using domain name?

after installing anywhere access in windows server 2012 essentials r2, cannot use anywhere access using setup domain name in wizard such remote.mydomain.com? if enter public ip address, example, 72.2.34.5 works. before set anywhere access, created a record pointing public address...pinged , worked...so not sure doing wrong?  is wizard supposed create record etc , make remote.mydomain.com work? if enter public ip address while on lan, takes me router webpage.  shouldn't work on lan if accessed via public ip? thank you, tim. the wizard can configure remote.microsoft_names.com  remote.remotewebaccess.com but cannot configure domains purchased outside wizard.  depends on how domain configured if wildcard.yourdomain.com should work  if try ping remote.your_domain.com afar , not give proper  public ip, need add record mariette said. much have record domain.com www.domain.com , if have website somewhere else www.domain.com , need remote.domain.com go box gr
