WSUS Offline Sync

hey have quick , easy question can't seem find answer to. tech articles explaining how perform offline copy of wsus says options have set exact same on both systems , that. articles mentioning "download express installation files", question have on both systems or have match, meaning can have off on both system well?

by default, feature not enabled. setting should match import server.

the following article should understand express installation files:

 set disconnected network (import , export updates)
