bootmgr missing - removing second drive

i have 2 drives in server box, 1 500gb windows lives (c:) , other 1tb empty... (k:)

so came remove 1tb (k:) drive , leave 500gb (c:) in system got message bootmgr missing....

now if goto disk management can see:

1tb
disk0 (it calls disk 0)
[100mb parition][new volumedrive k:]

500gb
disk1 (it calls disk 1)
[70mb partition][d: drive][c: drive]

obviously windows reason installed boot stuff on 1tb drive ... great , want remove 1tb drive , put boot info on 500gb drive.
