Application needs local disk read permission.


hello all,

i have issue can't figure out. maybe need perspective.

i have terminal server (win server 2008 r2) gpo hides , prohibits local disk access.
works great. i've been asked install new application. no problems there.
application needs read configuration file default stored on c drive (which hidden)

how can around , stil hide c drive logged on user?
have looked @ exceptions, that's user level.

maybe can trick through groupmembership in ad...

any thoughts on appreciated.

did verify application not work? afaik gpo
instructs explorer.exe prevent access - if user gains access
commandline, still can access everything.
imagine user couldn't access files in %windir%\system32 - believe
windows throw exception ;-))
