Files not getting locked when in use on server. DFL ?

recently new problem has started file locking.

one user can open word or excel file workstation, user can open same file both read/write access. file not getting locked when opened first user. use 2nd user on normal open file in read-only mode? message.  this started week or 2 ago , see no reason it. nothing has changed server wise or users. suggestions might suddently allow multiple users open same document same server r/w privilages? , when go save file ....is in use. try again later. error.
server server winserver 2008 r2 standard, 20 workstations running mix of xp/vista/win7.

file locking office function instead of windows server.

whether dfs involved in case? if so, caused if users accessing domain based dfs namespace directed 2 different servers access same version of file.

if users indeed accessing same file on same server/shared folder, test delete all temp files created in shared folder before opening file , see result. if issue still exists, post office forum further information.

Cannot access Anywhere Access using domain name?

after installing anywhere access in windows server 2012 essentials r2, cannot use anywhere access using setup domain name in wizard such remote.mydomain.com? if enter public ip address, example, 72.2.34.5 works. before set anywhere access, created a record pointing public address...pinged , worked...so not sure doing wrong?  is wizard supposed create record etc , make remote.mydomain.com work? if enter public ip address while on lan, takes me router webpage.  shouldn't work on lan if accessed via public ip? thank you, tim. the wizard can configure remote.microsoft_names.com  remote.remotewebaccess.com but cannot configure domains purchased outside wizard.  depends on how domain configured if wildcard.yourdomain.com should work  if try ping remote.your_domain.com afar , not give proper  public ip, need add record mariette said. much have record domain.com www.domain.com , if have website somewhere else www.domain.com , need remote.domain.com go box gr
