Windows 2008 : Not able to Access the Shared Folder from IP Address. Its accessible by using FQDN.

hello,

while accessing shared folder of aaaa.xyz.com (192.168.22.1) bbbb.xyz.com (10.100.10.1) domain using ip address

are getting following error. but accessible using fqdn.

while accessing shared folder of bbbb.xyz.com (10.100.10.1) aaaa.xyz.com (192.168.22.1) both way happening.

aaaa.xyz.com having os windows 2003 server

bbbb.xyz.com having os windows 2008 server

please me fix issue.

thanks posting here.

will system resolve fqdn aaaa.xyz.com to192.168.22.1 if perform “nslookup aaaa.xyz.com” on client ? please check , post results here.

meanwhile, please first clean arp , dns cache on client , see if work ip address.

clean arp cache : arp –d . clean dns cache: ipconfig /flushdns .
