Wireless Service - Active Directory Domain Services

hi there:

when installing windows server 2008 , installing active directory domain services, wizard prompts me following:

although telling me dynamic ip addressing not recommended, want know if can safely click "yes".

i have wireless network several laptops clients, connect smart phones, think best option me dynamically assigned ip addresses.

believe can it, , will!!


you can, not recommended configuration. practical point of view not see reason in cases dynamic assignment. , more, if have small subnet, servers take "useful" ip pool.

if assign static ip address, not surprized see loopback address in nic configuration of dc server (first dns value. points itself). correct address registered record in dns.

in addition this, aware have dhcp server part of ad , not of wireless router. client computers important refer correct dns, because pcs can find resource records give information, dc is  ( or are, if have more 1 dc)

Cannot access Anywhere Access using domain name?

after installing anywhere access in windows server 2012 essentials r2, cannot use anywhere access using setup domain name in wizard such remote.mydomain.com? if enter public ip address, example, 72.2.34.5 works. before set anywhere access, created a record pointing public address...pinged , worked...so not sure doing wrong?  is wizard supposed create record etc , make remote.mydomain.com work? if enter public ip address while on lan, takes me router webpage.  shouldn't work on lan if accessed via public ip? thank you, tim. the wizard can configure remote.microsoft_names.com  remote.remotewebaccess.com but cannot configure domains purchased outside wizard.  depends on how domain configured if wildcard.yourdomain.com should work  if try ping remote.your_domain.com afar , not give proper  public ip, need add record mariette said. much have record domain.com www.domain.com , if have website somewhere else www.domain.com , need remote.domain.com go box gr
