Dual NICs enabled, issues with Netbios

i have win 2003 server r2 (that did not config) has both gb nics enabled follows:
c:\documents , settings\administrator>ipconfig /all windows ip configuration host name . . . . . . . . . . . . : emds-server primary dns suffix . . . . . . . : sbfc.local node type . . . . . . . . . . . . : hybrid ip routing enabled. . . . . . . . : no wins proxy enabled. . . . . . . . : no dns suffix search list. . . . . . : sbfc.local ethernet adapter local area connection: connection-specific dns suffix . : description . . . . . . . . . . . : broadcom bcm5708c netxtreme ii gige (ndis vbd client) physical address. . . . . . . . . : 00-19-b9-b4-5c-33 dhcp enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : no ip address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.74.2 subnet mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 default gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.74.1 dns servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.74.2 192.168.74.1 ethernet adapter local area connection 2: connection-specific dns suffix . : description . . . . . . . . . . . : broadcom bcm5708c netxtreme ii gige (ndis vbd client) #2 physical address. . . . . . . . . : 00-19-b9-b4-5c-35 dhcp enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : no ip address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.74.3 subnet mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 default gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.74.1 dns servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.74.2 192.168.74.1 netbios on tcpip. . . . . . . . : disabled c:\documents , settings\administrator>
have problem netbios browser flakey - need know fthis config plain horrible (which suspect) , need disable 1 of 2 nics, if so, have suspicion difficult so, wizards sort of things in background...

bottom line this:
the main ip 192.168.74.2
secondary 192.168.74.3

main has dhcp enabled, secondary, wins shows in admin snap-in on secondary, but, if set wins server parameter 33.3, (in packet capture) icmp destination (port) unreachable errors.

is there detailed best practice doc scenario ?
or, if not, suspect, way move dual nic'd server single nic config straight forward ?
i need have step step recommendation preferably, because don't want damage overall integrity of server screwing networking configs.

any highly appreciated.

hello,

you should never multihome domain controller, remove asap previous admins configuration and use either teaming software, if possible hardware, have redundancy or load balancing 2 nic's or disable 1 of nics.
