How storage spaces mirror onto multiple storage pool drives...

tricky question pose..

i have 2 * 2tb drives in storage pool.  have 2 tb storage space assigned pool (lets call them , b).  have 2tb of mirrored storage across 4tb of drives.  well...

if add third 2tb drive "c" to storage pool, how 2-way mirroring work now?  hope evenly mirror across each drive in pool ( 1tb mirrored across + b, 1tb across a+ c , 1tb across b + c) giving me 3tb of mirrored storage. 

if work hope, server rebalance mirroring?  have used 1.8gb of storage time add in 3rd drive, there 0.2gb on each of morrored drives available.  when add in 3rd drive, if server not re-allocate, gain 0.4gb of storage (0.2gb a+c, 0.2gb b+c) leaving 1.4gb unusable.

if not hoped, how make use of 3rd drive?  i assume 3rd drive useless in pool unless 3-way mirroring or add 4th drive?

a storage spaces mirror configuration stores 2 copies of each data block on 2 different physical drives.  however, not balance data.  in specific example, adding third drive mirror environment won't much.  need add fourth 2 tb drive @ same time.
