Add Network Location in Win 7

i've used "add network location" in past add link folder on managed server.  i typed in ftp://username:password@mysite.com.  i've did , links aren't working , when try , recreate them, error message "the folder entered not appear t valid.  please choose another.".

any ideal of how fix this?

as network place connected ftp folder, can open folder directly same path input when creating network place?

also find computer see if work or not.
