Data communication using two ethernet card

hello all

   have 2 ip address in desktop called worker ip , protection ip. have send , receive data using worker ip address. if worker ip fault time have send , receive data using protection ip address. after getting worker ip in normal state have process using ip , protection ip go idle state.

i don't have idea how concept. if know plz guide me.

the 2 ip addresses in same ip segment ?

if yes, multihomed not recommended deployment way. modify route on host way achieve goal, more information please read link below:
