encrypt a string

hi all,

i'm new powershell , feeling comfortable current knowledge today, hit wall. given task , have no idea how proceed.

i need create script value , create text file same value encrypted. same script run on other computer , need read value , decrypt it.

i have no idea start. i'm not asking made script: wish learn need put script myself. looking guidance on how proceed.

you have learn encryption.  there no instantaneous way make transportable file powershell.  start learning pki , designa pki solution.  need use certificate either distributed machines or exists along public key can shared.

this sounds classic school homework question.

here basic way this.  uses hey (passkey or password) encrypt string.
