Server 2012 w./ 4 vm's running. How to put in place a setup secondary server as a "standby" or backup server.

i running windows server 2012 4 hyper v vm's.  if server fails, want have in place secondary server can manually activate.  how can set existing hyper v info , not have start over. new (secondary) server 2012r2.  i can not redo hard drives want configure secondary server take on if primary fails.  is clustering option??  how can least amount of hassle??

if want process automated i'd @ setting hyper-v failover cluster.
