Uncheck "include inheritable permission..." does not block the action of "replace all child..."

hello!
need help, on 2008 r2 server, unchecking option "include inheritable permission object's parent" on subfolder has no effect. everytime check "replace child object permission" on the parent folder, subfolder security reset parent folder , worse that, option "include inheritable permission..." selected

i thought checking option "replace child objet..." not change security of subfolder if "include inheritable" option uncheck, guess i'm wrong??

so, how can reset security of many subfolder without changing security of some?

thanks help

hi charles,

i thought checking option "replace child objet..." not change security of subfolder if "include inheritable" option uncheck, guess i'm wrong??

based on tests, enable option "replace existing inheritable permissions on descendants inheritable permissions object" apply permissions descendants no matter whether option "include inheritable permissions object's parent" selected or not.

so, how can reset security of many subfolder without changing security of some?

you may need change permissions manually, or use script.
more information you:
