Upgrade fails

here’re suggestions.
1. disconnect external hardwares connected server, including network adapter, sound card, usb devices,etc.
2. please load raid controller driver windows server 2008 appropriately during upgrade.
3. perform startup repair of windows server 2003 r2 installation media prior upgrade in case there’s corrupt system files.
1) insert windows server 2003 cd in cd-rom or dvd-rom drive.
2) restart computer boot cd/dvd.
i. if prompted start computer cd, so.
3) after setup starts, press enter continue setup process.
4) press enter select option to set windows now, press enter. not select recovery console option.
5) press f8 accept licensing agreement.
setup searches previous installations of windows.
o if setup not find previous installation of windows server 2003, might have hardware failure.
o if setup find previous installation of windows server 2003, may receive following message:
if 1 of following windows server 2003 installations damaged, setup can try repair it. use , down arrows select installation. repair selected installation, press r. continue without repairing, press esc.
select appropriate windows server 2003 operating system installation, , press r to try repair it.
o follow on-screen instructions repair installation.
