USB redirection possible with Windows 8.1 Pro Hyper-V?

hi, i've been searching on topic while , seem see conflicting information everywhere, i'm not sure turn now.

i've got usb scanner on host machine i need give access vm.  i've set enhanced session on vm , have tried rdping vm have suggested, , set access local pnp devices (though scanner never listed) in both instances, scanner not listed in device manager nor found program supposed use it.

this following link seems suggested maybe need windows 8.1 enterprise on vm (and maybe hm) in order usb ports recognized:

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/rds/archive/2012/11/26/remotefx-features-for-windows-8-and-windows-server-2012.aspx

any thoughts on this?

this scenario designed full support remotefx / rdp protocol - not enhanced session mode.  enhanced session mode makes best effort not support devices , scenarios.

and, then, success depends on version of rdp client drivers of device.

you need connect rdp client (where scanner connected) direct ip of vm (where want project scanner into).

can usb device connected host end in connected vm?  yes can, when @ console of host , using mechanism above.

the better method has not changed since this:  http://itproctology.blogspot.com/2008/07/remoting-devices-into-hyper-v-child.html

in regards using name "remotefx" confusing.  there multiple technologies lumped under that.  there is:  remote desktop client (and server), there hyper-v remotefx vgpu , related features.  different , distinct things.  , when msft put them under same umbrella, caused kinds of confusion.
