Content file download failed.

i haven't been able find on anywhere. trying windows 8.1 update (kb2919355) download, keeps failing.  i'm using wsus 3.2 on server 2008 r2, 156gb free space on e drive.

this error has been occurring since april, other updates downloading fine.  if sort file status, 3 updates 8.1, 8.1 x64, , 2012 r2 stuck trying download.

anyone have ideas?

event id 364:

content file download failed. reason: attempt made move file pointer before beginning of file.

so chose express installation files reduce update times during deployment.

it won't this.

express installation files (which pointless mechanism given abandonment of service packs) designed can transfer smaller deltas of large update files across wan connection instead of having transfer entire update. place such capability exists service packs; regular updates don't use express installation files (but still define psf file wua knows there no capability use express installation files).

about thing using eif gets these days downloading tens of gigabytes of legacy service pack content wsus server , unnecessarily consuming internet bandwidth , disk storage. legacy service packs, all should 100% deployed, or slipstreamed mdt images (e.g. sp1 win7/ws2008r2).

Cannot access Anywhere Access using domain name?

after installing anywhere access in windows server 2012 essentials r2, cannot use anywhere access using setup domain name in wizard such remote.mydomain.com? if enter public ip address, example, 72.2.34.5 works. before set anywhere access, created a record pointing public address...pinged , worked...so not sure doing wrong?  is wizard supposed create record etc , make remote.mydomain.com work? if enter public ip address while on lan, takes me router webpage.  shouldn't work on lan if accessed via public ip? thank you, tim. the wizard can configure remote.microsoft_names.com  remote.remotewebaccess.com but cannot configure domains purchased outside wizard.  depends on how domain configured if wildcard.yourdomain.com should work  if try ping remote.your_domain.com afar , not give proper  public ip, need add record mariette said. much have record domain.com www.domain.com , if have website somewhere else www.domain.com , need remote.domain.com go box gr

WMI Failure: Unable to update Local Resource Group
