Clients are going out on the internet for update

hello everyone,

i running issue, have wsus server setup on w2008 server , times client computers going out on internet , consuming lot of internet bandwidth. works fine , after every month face problem once/twice. guys please me out solve issue?

troubleshooting done far:

1. crossed checked through rsop.msc policy has been applied on computers.

2. crossed checked option on computer settings showing per configured on wsus gpo.

1. configure automatic update, if yes, clients automatically download , install updates follow policy wsus server. clients won't update internet unless click check update online manually user.

when issue occurs, please check if wuserver's value in registry key hklm\software\policies\microsoft\windows\windowsupdate

2. if want block clients update internet, may enable policy "turn off access windows update feature" in group policy computer configuration > policies > administrative templates > system > internet communication management > internet communication settings. blocks access windows update or microsoft update web sites, while can update wsus server.
