Removing a cluster ?
hello all,
number of reasons, wanting 'remove' 2 node cluster have setup in test mode on 2 nodes/servers.
re-doing virtual disks/disk mappings hosts, etc., on iscsi storage unit ( dell md3000i) in preparation
create new cluster setup these 2 servers. proof of concept ( physical cluster ) before set it
under virtual server 2005 r2 (once again, proof of concept) before going ha cluster using server 2008
hyper-v. ( it's step-by-step process here contracting)
current setup :
2 x windows server 2003 ee (32 bit) servers/nodes, connected iscsi described above,
recommended method 'remove' cluster/config theses 2 servers able start afresh ?
thanks in advance,
peter w

other wipe 2 nodes , re-install ?
(as find pretty clean method)
alternatively
1) evict node 2
2) evict node 1 (this should desolve cluster)
3) run "cluster.exe node /forcecleanup" on both nodes
rgds,
edwin.
