Work Folders - What should I expect of the sync speed?

hi,

we have deployed work folders use our windows 8.1 laptops. staff use folder sync work via school wireless on home network. have noticed quirks can answered. our setup is:

  • the work folders folder exists inside users home drive share
  • they have work folders folder sync client setup on laptop , access folder via "this pc folder", have home drive populated active directory. work folders exists inside share
  • we use remote desktop, classroom pc's , admin stations that have access home share 
  • our work folders server has third party security certificate
  • we have proxy server on site, work folders url / server has incoming traffic on port 80 , 443 allowed

what have noticed testing on home connection, things okay when:

  • files appear sync users home drive okay when new files created on users laptop
  • sync occurs around every 10 minutes
  • edits documents files appear sync times, sometime seem take longer when new files created

things seem choke when:

  • if new file created in work folders folder via remote desktop connection
  • if file edited via remote desktop connection changes not sync down after user closes office application
  • if create new file on laptops work folders folder after doing above, changes sync again not always
  • changes sync eventually, can hour later or after user has restarted laptop

when user work in work folders folder via 1 of these devices, sync appears take lot longer , wont occur if manually sync share. work folders process not aware there new file or edit has occurred , needs synced

for syncing work correctly, work folders client need on machines user accesses or above behaviour normal? if not immediate enough staff use, make changed via wireless before lessons, etc

from description, caused network issue - whether rds server in same network clients? 

when user updated file in work folder, should send update request internet other machines know change. if there network latency between rds server , internet explain result.

meanwhile work folder windows client technology (windows 8) can post thread windows 8 forum see if there suggestion. here link:

Cannot access Anywhere Access using domain name?

after installing anywhere access in windows server 2012 essentials r2, cannot use anywhere access using setup domain name in wizard such remote.mydomain.com? if enter public ip address, example, 72.2.34.5 works. before set anywhere access, created a record pointing public address...pinged , worked...so not sure doing wrong?  is wizard supposed create record etc , make remote.mydomain.com work? if enter public ip address while on lan, takes me router webpage.  shouldn't work on lan if accessed via public ip? thank you, tim. the wizard can configure remote.microsoft_names.com  remote.remotewebaccess.com but cannot configure domains purchased outside wizard.  depends on how domain configured if wildcard.yourdomain.com should work  if try ping remote.your_domain.com afar , not give proper  public ip, need add record mariette said. much have record domain.com www.domain.com , if have website somewhere else www.domain.com , need remote.domain.com go box gr

WMI Failure: Unable to update Local Resource Group
