Not getting (Windows) updates

i've setup new server 2012 r2 machine.

running windows update - set 'windows , other products' - don't seem getting updates. i've noticed -

  • only 48 updates have been installed
  • ie remains @ v11.0.1
  • in start menu there no power symbol username - present on other installs
  • no errors reported - windows update says server upto date

any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

downloaded current iso. downloading 104 (windows) updates ... looks better.

strange earlier 1 had issues.

server manager error: ADAM.events.xml could not be enumerated.

i have domain server windows 2000 sp4. my clients using win xp , win 98. when send messages computer management-shared folders-rightclick-all task-send message connected users, message received clients using winxp but not in  win 98 .how send them without winpopup  , net meeting. this forum windows server 2008.   check messenger service running on win98-clients.
