Robocopy Windows Server 2008 version Changes Destination Directory to System Hidden
i have been living bug in new version of robocopy awhile now, need better solution adding a-:sh parameter robocopy commands.
i noticed posted before in windows 7 forum http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7itprogeneral/thread/8dcb6432-6ae0-4816-92e8-2599e5e638f5, moderator "answered" question saying couldn't reproduce it. however, see many other people have had same problem, , can confirm behaviour everytime use windows server 2008 r2 version of robocopy, regardless of whether source/destination folders usb hard drives, internal hard drives, or san drives! have consistently found result on every windows server 2008 and windows server 2008 r2 machine have in our network.
of course, workaround remove system hidden attributes work, if command interrupted, have run attrib -s -h <directory_name> unhide it, real pain. well, want maintain directory structure exists in source, have go through , determine files system hidden, , change attributes in destination.
i can't believe microsoft still hasn't addressed issue after time. i'm hoping there's hotfix out there, 1 provided address speed issue?
looking forward proper resolution!
