Impact on roaming profile accounts if we Change User logon Name to Employee Number format in Active Directory for all User accounts

i want understand if change user logon name employee number format in active directory user accounts, impact on existing profile. whether need change manualy or connect same profiles in terminal session.

as observed create new profile after logon name changed employee number existing users profile settings fails load , prompt new settings (such outlook reconfiguration, share drive mapping etc.).

kindly let me know proper process overcome this, how connect same existing roaming profile with employee number format change.

based on test, changing user logon name doesn’t affect user profiles.

the user profile name user name of user account, first name plus last name.
