SBS 2011 to Server 2008 R2

we have purchased new rackmount unit running server 2008 r2. going replace our workstation form-factor sbs 2011 unit. in anticipation of migration (i've never done 1 before) i'm trying create to-do list, in order, can cross t's , dot i's. i've bookmarked a couple key threads , kbs me started, i'm hoping can without interuption business (41 machines on domain many users). clients running windows 7.

the existing sbs 2011 server left in place continue file server, printer server, , application license server our 3rd party apps.

can guys please link me threads or kbs should read , follow can homework on this? tools or might make easier?

server manager error: ADAM.events.xml could not be enumerated.
