Failed to upgrade WSUS 3.0 SP1 to SP2

hi,

i following error messages when trying upgrade wsus 3.0 sp2.

2010-01-07 09:31:59  success   mwussetup          validating pre-requisites...

2010-01-07 09:32:13  success   mwussetup          creating database backup...

2010-01-07 09:32:13  success   mwussetup          sql server instance remote. no database backup created

2010-01-07 09:32:13  success   mwussetup          removing wsus...

2010-01-07 09:34:39  error     mwussetup          removewsus: mwus uninstall failed (error 0x80070663: patch package not opened.  verify patch package exists , can access it, or contact application vendor verify valid windows installer patch package.)

2010-01-07 09:34:39  error     mwussetup          cupgradedriver::performsetup: failed remove earlier version of wsus (error 0x80070663: patch package not opened.  verify patch package exists , can access it, or contact application vendor verify valid windows installer patch package.)

please describe environment , exact methdology you're using attempt upgrade wsus.

have reviewed release notes?

are logged onto server local administrator?

has implemented security configuration wizard (if win2003), or 'tweaked' security settings/configuration of server?

the indication here symptomatic of corrupted installation package, manifesting result of specific environment or upgrading methodology. @ point, there insufficient information speculate on specific causes -- beyond readily obvious possibility installer corrupted.

Cannot access Anywhere Access using domain name?

after installing anywhere access in windows server 2012 essentials r2, cannot use anywhere access using setup domain name in wizard such remote.mydomain.com? if enter public ip address, example, 72.2.34.5 works. before set anywhere access, created a record pointing public address...pinged , worked...so not sure doing wrong?  is wizard supposed create record etc , make remote.mydomain.com work? if enter public ip address while on lan, takes me router webpage.  shouldn't work on lan if accessed via public ip? thank you, tim. the wizard can configure remote.microsoft_names.com  remote.remotewebaccess.com but cannot configure domains purchased outside wizard.  depends on how domain configured if wildcard.yourdomain.com should work  if try ping remote.your_domain.com afar , not give proper  public ip, need add record mariette said. much have record domain.com www.domain.com , if have website somewhere else www.domain.com , need remote.domain.com go box gr
