Unattended in-place upgrade from Server 2012 R2 Datacenter to Server 2016 Datacenter
hello - i'm relatively new windows server apologies if question little foolish
putting aside whether should or shouldn't doing in-place upgrades, i'm struggling work @ moment
i have simple autounattnend.xml file below (although i've used variants of this). cannot upgrade commence using if perform upgrade manually good.
the following error displayed.
the following issues preventing windows upgrading:
this upgrade path not supported. please close setup , re-launch root of media or go , pick different installation choice.
i'm using mounted install dvd run upgrade. machines volume licensed. i managed upgrade server 2008 ee server 2012 dc first phase of upgrade.
can shed light on or offer suggestions.

i‘d suggest use single image upgrade without deployment tools and answer file. that check if image has broken.
if image good, please use image , system preparation (sysprep) tool upgrade windows.
