Adding an Extra DC using ws2008 R2

hi,

i want add extra dc (running on server 2008 r2) in forest, not in local network. standing on different location.

is possible add server by using internet?

i tried add dc can't find in existing forest.

i don't know what's going wrong, can me?

not sure if there's way directly connect on "the internet", if have vpn connection between 2 sites, therefore enabling 2 networks communicate on "local network" should able join remote server existing domain, , there promote dc.

we've got multiple domains running across multiple sites, connected via vpn links, , work fine. eg site 1 has dc's domain's a, b , c, , site 2 has dc's domains a, b , c, each domain acting on normal lan. have ensure things sites in ad configured correctly machines @ each site default talking local dc, other should work fine.
