Server 2012 NIC Teaming Host Servers

hello,

i had question nic teaming , hoping recommend best practice or see if can improve way team our servers.

environment

we have 2 hyper-v host servers (server1 , server2) clustered together. both server 2012 systems , not r2. each server has dedicated host management connection , 1 heartbeat connection. have 2 redundant cisco network switches(switch1 , switch2) these servers connect to. switch1 primary switch , switch2 secondary. both switches on same network. each server has 2 network connections switch1 vm traffic , 2 network connections switch2 v traffic have 4 paths same switch. teamed these 4 nics using "switch independent" teaming mode, "hyper-v port" load balancing mode , adapters active standby mode. when viewing network status of team i'm showing 4.0gbps.

we have 55 vms running on host cluster , i'd make sure we're using best teaming method environment described. i've been doing reading , static teaming or switch dependent require network team things (haven't figured out yet) i'm wondering if better far using available bandwidth , load balancing. understand, hyper-v port picks nic , uses 1gb connection , not full 4gb that's available. explaining how teaming best work me appreciated. thanks
