Changing IP address on WAN facing RRAS interface
hi:
we have dual-homed rras server 1 interface facing internet, , connected our internal network. working fine.
i tried put wan interface behind firewall in dmz. changed ip of wan interface new dmz address. enabled port 1723 , gre forward on firewall rras server. however, clients outside couldn't connect. final measure, tried opening ip traffic rras server, still no joy. restarted rras service, , rebooting rras server, didn't either.
is there special needs done, when change ip of rras server interface? wan facing interface work nat?
thanks,
tony
no other configuration required on rras server if port forwarding on internet router since have created layer 2 path between rras , router. now, if have created layer 3 connection between devices, yes, rras server , router need routing tables updated. doesnt sound based on description case. continue investigate configuration on router. can try port forward on port validate can traffic through, on 80 , install iis on computer on private side of router?
