Trouble installing SMTP on Server 2012 Standard Core

i asked this on windows 2012 forum, advised ask on form.

i have server core instance administrating via powershell remoting. has iis , sql 2008r2 functioning correctly , want add smtp. i've verified running 2012 standard edition:

ps c:\users\jdearing\documents> ciminstance win32_operatingsystem|select caption    caption  -------  microsoft windows server 2012 standard

i try install smtp following command: 

add-windowsfeature smtp-server,rsat-smtp -source:wim:d:\sources\install.wim:1 -debug -verbose

it fails with:

the iso mounted d: drive , image 2012 standard server cor indeed 1:

your link broken. also, can't reproduce issue. able add smtp server entering pssession , running this:

ps c:\> enter-pssession helios [helios]: ps c:\> add-windowsfeature smtp-server

output:

success restart needed exit code      feature result
------- -------------- ---------      --------------
true    no             success        {feature administration tools, smtp server...

edit: tried add-windowsfeature smtp-server,rsat-smtp , worked fine.

edit2: noticed you're running core, i'm using gui installation. still, smtp listed supported core here:
