Upgrade to 2012 New Hardware

hi all

current environment 2008 r2 same domain functional level. 2 dc's 1 primary other secondary , 5 read only. have mixed os, 2003, 2008 , 2008 r2. want upgrade hardware , @ same time upgrade os 2012. need upgrade our current 2003 standard edition enterprise , remove xp machines.this apparently told. once raise domain functional level 2012, 2003 std , xp machine not work. im trying caution before it. told long install 2012 datacentre on 2 main dc's not have problem. since have 2 main dc's, 1 primary , other secondary appropriate 1 upgrade first.

i have domain server windows 2000 sp4. my clients using win xp , win 98. when send messages computer management-shared folders-rightclick-all task-send message connected users, message received clients using winxp but not in  win 98 .how send them without winpopup  , net meeting. this forum windows server 2008.   check messenger service running on win98-clients.
