The group policy security settings that apply to this machine could not be determined

i on windows server 2012 r2

when try open local security policy in mmc get

the group policy security settings apply machine not determined

the error returned when trying retrieve these setting local security policy database (%windir%\security\database\secedit.sdb) was:

the parameter incorrect.

etc.

so ran

esentutl /p %windir%\security\database\secedit.sdb

still getting same error. did try perform configure using secedit give logon service rights user. , this. did not before secedit op.

is secedit.sdb corrupt?

you try run command below administrator account reset permission of sdb:

secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose
