Server 2008 R2 & Windows 8.1/2012R2 ADMX (Group Policy)

hey guys, in advance question.

i have 2 domain controllers. dc1 (2003) & dc2 (2008r2). have 2 client machines. cl1 (8.1ent) & cl2 (2012). have updated central store on 2008r2 domain controller of 8.1 , 2012r2 admx/adml files. 

i have read not able apply these new policies until have 2012r2 domain controller on network, unless use 8.1 or 2012r2 client machine administer these new policies. true? ask because can see new policies when open group policy management on windows 7 machines. go? domain ready apply these new policies 8.1 laptops, though not have 2012r2 dc yet?

based on research, have seen errors when editing gpos on vista once central store got upgraded windows 7 admx/adml files. down-level gpmc, gpedit.msc consoles may not understand settings defined in these files.

here blog, in comments of blog, owner said "so far i've seen problems editing 2012/windows 8 name resolution policies on 2008 r2 machine. "

Cannot access Anywhere Access using domain name?

after installing anywhere access in windows server 2012 essentials r2, cannot use anywhere access using setup domain name in wizard such remote.mydomain.com? if enter public ip address, example, 72.2.34.5 works. before set anywhere access, created a record pointing public address...pinged , worked...so not sure doing wrong?  is wizard supposed create record etc , make remote.mydomain.com work? if enter public ip address while on lan, takes me router webpage.  shouldn't work on lan if accessed via public ip? thank you, tim. the wizard can configure remote.microsoft_names.com  remote.remotewebaccess.com but cannot configure domains purchased outside wizard.  depends on how domain configured if wildcard.yourdomain.com should work  if try ping remote.your_domain.com afar , not give proper  public ip, need add record mariette said. much have record domain.com www.domain.com , if have website somewhere else www.domain.com , need remote.domain.com go box gr

WMI Failure: Unable to update Local Resource Group
