Word 2011 + Lion + Server 2008 share
have windows 2008 server sharing documents. when mac user opens document word 2011, edits , saves it, ntfs file permissions (which inherited folder) wiped out , replaced permissions allow user , admins modify document. else can still open document. read-only, , changes can't saved.
shared folder permissions correct , have worked fine years both windows , mac clients. true until word 2011 arrived. excel 2011 not have problem, word 2011 knowledge.
when reset permissions folder permissions restored child documents, can again access , modify every document. when word 2011 user comes along, opens edits , saves it, whole cycle repeats. work around have found ask mac users copy document desktop, modify there , copy server. works, far ideal.
solutions?
