first off, forum tons of support it's been helping our vdi solution. my first question is, have 6 vms setup in hyper-v redirection , rd web access , running. can grab vm. however, noticed if wanted to, directly mstsc vm client, bypassing redirection. if understand correctly, end product of redirection giving client direct ip/fqdn of vm has been assigned , running rdc client information. how can prevent users exploiting , trying connect same desktop on , on via directly connecting vm? there gpo policy can push clients accept connections connection broker? don't think can on firewall level, client getting address , connecting directly there.    thank all,    steve hi,   no, cannot start mstsc.exe , connect vm pool. users can connect personal virtual desktops directly using mstsc.exe not pools.   however can create rdp file w/ required information pool , users can use rdp file connect pools. cannot directly connecting pool...

time ago, renamed our domain admin account on server 2003 (only on primary domain controller). renamed manually using procedure outlined microsoft. continuous stream of audit failures appearing in our security log user name: administrator ip: 127.0.0.1 , our domain name. error code translates unknown user name. it seems me 1 of processes on dc trying use obsolete login information due name change. not seem have problems, , renamed admin account works fine. have constant audit failure. events in order , have same time stamp; 672, 672, 680, 529. later, same group appears again (with irregular interval). by way, stream begins if dc computer in network powered up. thanks, mike. hi mike, this isn't nap problem, i'm not going of help. can provide link server 2003 technical reference discusses these events here  if helps. best bet to consult active directory experts on over the  directory services forum . sorry can't of more assistance. -greg ...

hello, i have 2 rdp servers in farm using token based routing through cisco ace appliance. one of rdp servers functioning session broker. the farm dns name rdsb.domain.com the rdp servers named rdp1.domain.com , rdp2.domain.com.   the issue having when assign certificate both rdp servers fqdn of rdsb.domain.com, rdp connection client machine fails. there not details of failure, no entries in logs of either server, client, nor ace. if change certificates on rdp servers fqdn individual name (ie rdp1.domain.com has cert rdp1.domain.com) connection works fine, rdp client warns user trying connect rdsb.domain.com , getting certificate fqdn of rdp1.domain.com (or rdp2.domain.com depending on server trying connect to).   i've searched high , low information on how these certificates supposed setup... is configuraiton issue rd session broker, configuration issue rd hosts, or configuraiton issue cisco ace?   i want client conect rdsb.domain.com , have w...
