hello, i done our dfs migration server 2003 sp2 server 2012 r2. ran roadblock have old application pointing directly shared folder on old file server (i.e. \\oldserver\sharedfolder), attempted change path on application dfs namespace instead of shared path, application still holding on of attachments located on old share. i looking way redirect shared path \\oldserver\sharedfolder \\newserver\sharedfolder , turn off old server. application still go \\oldserver path accessing files in \\newserver path. allow me retire windows 2003 server. thank in advance hi gatis skele, thanks post. based on undertanding, have migrated files server 2003 sp2 server 2012 r2. if misunderstand, please correct me. user account access share folder new path client, right? only application points wrong path? what's application? if so, clear cache on application, add new path？ , might need confirm application vendor details configuration path change. best regards, mary pl...

in our environment, have arround 300 servers in datacenter site , 1 wsus managing patches them. however, after enabled gpo, wsus can detect arround 210 servers in total. there 100 servers missing wsus. wsus can reached or without proxy. if proxy enabled , wsus should added bypass list. in winhttp don't have proxy configured. however, in logs file, client still using proxy server without bypass settings connect wsus. have checked everywhere, cannot find out proxy settings come from. when manually add proxy server , bypass list winhttp, client fine. once reset winhttp, stop working again. by way, have wpad in our envrionment applied through our dns. have unticked auto-detect box on ie settings. please advise. logs file: 2012-02-23    15:46:59:930    1180    1b28    misc    ===========  logging initialized (build: 7.4.7600.226, tz: +1100)  =========== 2012-02-23   ...
